Risk evaluation of wind-power-integrated power systems requires a distinctive wind speed modelling technique. Existing techniques of mid-and long-term risk assessment mainly focus on annual wind speed pattern rather than its monthly and daily patterns, which cannot reflect the time-varying characteristics of power system risk.
