more » ... Biology at the Faculty of Science and Human Studies, Prince Sattam bin Abdul Aziz University, Saudi Arabia. The researcher prepared the adaptive perfectionist scale, the lifeorientation scale, and constructed program based on psychological empowerment skills. A quasi-experimental approach was used. Rresults of the study indicated that there were statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the sample in the pre-measurement and the post measurement on the scale of adaptive perfection in favor of the post-measurement. The results also showed statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the sample in the pre-measurement and postmeasurement on the life-orientation scale in favor of the postmeasurement. However, no statistically significant differences were detected between the mean scores of the sample in the post measurement/ follow-up measurement on the adaptive perfectionist scale and the life-orientation scale, indicating the effectiveness of the psychological empowerment based program designed to increase the adaptive perfectionism and life orientation among university students.
