The main goal of this study is to validate Vallerand's hierarchical model (2001) to predict the causes of discipline through motivational climate and self-determined motivation, within a sample of 819 physical education teenage students. Learning and Performance Orientations in Physical Education (LAPOPEQ), the Sport Motivation Scale (SMS) and the Psychological Mediator Scale were the instruments used for this study.
