Cissus quadrangularis Linn (C. quadrangularis), or "Phet-Cha-Sung-Khaat" in Thai, is one of the most commonly used medicinal plants in Thailand for the treatment of hemorrhoid; however, the safety of this herb upon long-term consumption has never been reported.
