Spectroscopic studies on alpha particle-irradiated PADC (CR-39 detector)
2014
Results in Physics
Spectroscopic studies on a Poly Allyl Diglycol Carbonate (PADC or CR-39) detector irradiated with 5 MeV a-particles were carried out. The CR-39 samples were exposed to perpendicular incidence of a-particles with different fluence ranging from 0.85 Â 10 9 to 6.79 Â 10 9 particles/cm 2 . The induced modifications in the CR-39 detectors were investigated using UV-Vis, FTIR, and photoluminescence (PL) spectroscopy. The results reveal that UV-Visible and FTIR spectroscopic techniques are insensitive
