This thesis looks at how Non-Profit Organisations (NPOs) can apply the Social Entre-preneurship (SE) Approach and integrate this into their modus operandi. The central focus lies on the challenges that NPOs currently face in-light of the "growing financial instability of public funds" (Simsa, 2012:12). In particular its ability to solve societies problems in an entrepreneurial, and business savvy way allows NPOs to be more flexible in securing financial resources while at the same time being more economically sustainable than current structures allow for. In-light of this, this thesis looks to answer the following question: "What impact would applying a Social Entrepreneurship Approach have on the financial stability of NPOs in Austria and what potential opportunities and risks would NPOs face in its in-tegration?". To provide a structured and thorough analysis to this question the thesis is broken down as follows: First an overview of the spheres of activities as well as the financing structures and business models of SEOs and NPOs is given.
