The intellectual profile of the Portuguese social scientist Boaventura de Sousa Santos exposed in this article coincides with the valuation made by the Puerto Rican decolonial sociologist Ramón Grosfoguel: "The work of Boaventura de Sousa Santos constitutes a fundamental contribution to the decolonization of the social sciences.
