The place of psychotherapy in the rehabilitation processes of Acquired Brain Injury survivors is reviewed in this article. The main difficulties that psychotherapy has found to validate itself as a useful tool are summarized. The psychotherapy´s primary goals are to facilitate the adhesion to rehabilitation and the emotional adaptation to physical, cognitive and behavioural changes.
