To compare the accuracy of attenuated and attenuation-corrected equilibrium radionuclide angiographic (RNA) left ventricular (LV) volume estimates, we studied 23 consecutive patients with biplane contrast cineangiography (CINE). Attenuated RNA end-diastolic (ED) and end-systolic (ES) volumes were calculated from background-corrected ED and ES counts obtained from hand-drawn regions of interest that were normalized to cardiac cycles processed, frame rate, and blood activity.
