The present work is based on the study of saline lagoon salts formed in a salt lake located in the Nhecolândia, a sub-region of Pantanal. The objective was to characterize the salts collected at the edge of a saline, providing data to support the understanding the chemistry/geochemistry of the salt formation in the environment. This environment is characterized by high pH (<9) and high salinity (40,000 µS.cm -1 ), conditions that favor the precipitation and salt development.
