Purpose: Quality of life (Qol) is undoubtedly important for patient case management. ... toms in patients over time. In this study, we aimed to translate, adapt and validate the VAS-IBS to Romanian language and culture. The translation, adaptation and validation of the Romanian version of VAS-IBS were possible without many limitations due to some similarities between Romanian and Western cultures. Thus, according to our results, the final form of Romanian VAS-IBS can be considered a reliable tool in measuring the perceived severity of gastrointestinal symptoms which can be classified by 64/Bulletin of Integrative Psychiatry New Series March 2020 Year XXVI No. 1 (84) ROME IV as IBS symptoms, as this could also have an increased relevance in the context of the associated psychiatric disorders of IBS.
