This article analyses the impact of P.L.I.D.A. (Progetto Lingua Italiana Dante Alighieri) examination for assuring quality at the university level. P.L.I.D.A. exams are world widely recognized and are organized following a strict methodology, approved by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and "La Sapienza" University of Rome, Italy. Case studies, exams in which Romanian students took part, will be provided in order to clearly demonstrate the benefits of these exams for the students' future development.
