Lembar Kerja Siswa (LKS) used by students has not yet made students active in learning. This study aims to analyze the needs of LKS oriented on the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME). This research is a qualitative research with qualitative descriptive research type. The subject of this research is the seventh grade students of SMP Muhammadiyah Boarding School Pleret Yogyakarta. The research data was collected by interview and observation on the curriculum, concepts, students and teachers.

The result of the research shows that: (1) All the material in LKS is in accordance with Kompetensi Inti (KI) and Kompetensi Dasar (KD) (2) Students sometimes still difficult to understand the existing material in the existing LKS (3) Students and teachers need LKS Mathematics which in his material relate to daily life-day. Therefore, students need LKS oriented Realistic Mathematics Education (RME)
