We study the bottom Λ b ð6146Þ 0 baryon, newly discovered by the LHCb Collaboration. By adopting an interpolating current of ðL ρ ; L λ Þ ¼ ð0; 2Þ type and D-wave nature with spin-parity quantum numbers J P ¼ 3 2 þ for this heavy bottom baryon, we calculate its mass and residue. Using these spectroscopic parameters, we also investigate its dominant decays Λ b ð6146Þ 0 → Σ b π and Λ b ð6146Þ 0 → Σ Ã b π and estimate the width of Λ b ð6146Þ 0 obtained via these channels.
