A critical analysis on standardization of bindu for mars'a nasya

Nasya, based on the dose of oil used, is classified in to two types, as Mars'a and Pratimars'a. Bindu is the unit of measurement explained for the dose of oil. In routine Aayurvedic practice one Bindu is considered as one drop (0.05ml) while according to the definition of Bindu and standardized quantity mentioned by S'aaran'gadhara, it is 0.5ml.
