Cooperative spectrum sensing (CSS) among secondary users (SUs) in cognitive radio ad hoc networks exhibits an essential trade-off minimising the misdetection probability of the primary user and maintaining a reasonable false alarm probability to obtain efficient spectrum utilisation.
