This study aims to analyze the contributions of the German seminar in pedagogical and investigative scope in Colombian education, which has permeate the educational practices in the context of the Teacher Training College in Bogota. The work was organize the teaching and the guidance of a postgraduate class for teachers. The greatest achievements occurred in History and Geography. Almost all of the teachers were conducting scientific and educational researches in those fields of knowledge,
more » ... of knowledge, relating the students in the teaching process in a practical way, but also in consolidation of their discourses by means of supporting research. That way, the German seminars transcended classes and reflected on Colombian education, at all educational levels. As such, it is crucial to understand their pedagogical origin at the University of Germany in the 18th century, adjusting themselves to education systems to transform the practices of teachers and researchers from their lessons to their own way of orienting educational processes.
