To examine the effects of competition teaching on exercise motivation of high school boys, we practiced this teaching mode in basketball teaching in both the intervention and control groups. The results show that the participation tendency and avoidance tendency were significant different before and after the experiment. This indicated that the high school boys' basketball motivation after the game teaching intervention could be significantly improved. As a teaching method to promote students'
