This scientific work sheds light on the topic of the YouTube-Tutorials, which has not yet received much scientific attention. The research-guiding question will be: What are the funding reasons for recipients of YouTube tutorials and are there differences between frequent viewers and lesser viewers? - and answered them. ... s of the Use-and-Gratification-Approach as well as their further developments (the GS/GO model and the Palmgreen expectation assessment approach) are presented and taken into account in this research work. Furthermore, the psychosocial theory of the locus of control and the theory of internal and external control expectations as well as the concept of the involvement are presented. All these theories will be used to develop the research questions as well as the methodological instrument. Finally, these theories are connected with the results during the interpretation. The central results of the online survey are that a pedagogical intention, a problem solution or an economic aspect are the central reasons for donation that lead to the reception of YouTube- Tutorials. The motives of aesthetic aspect and social aspect are mainly given to younger participants. The personality traits sensation seeking and control expectation have no influence on the reception frequency of YouTube-Tutorials. In addition, it was found that the recipient's reasons for giving money had an effect on their willingness to act. Furthermore, the reception frequency of the recipients is positively influenced by previous successful problem solutions through YouTube- Tutorials. In addition, a connection between the age and the frequency of reception of YouTube- Tutorials could be established.
