Gender and Major Differences in Self-Estimates of Different Aspects of Gardner's Multiple Intelligences: A Study of the Undergraduate Pre-service Teachers in Taiwan

This study was to examine gender and major differences in self-estimates of different aspects of Gardner's multiple intelligences within pre-service teachers. Questionnaire participants included 411 pre-service teachers at National Changhua University of Education in Taiwan. The findings indicated that there were significant gender differences in self-estimates of verbal-linguistic, musical, math-logic, visual-spatial, and body-kinesthetic intelligences; and there were significant departmental
more » ... ifferences in self-estimates of verbal-linguistic, math-logic, visual-spatial, body-kinesthetic, and naturalistic intelligences. Except for verbal-linguistic and math-logic intelligences, there were significant relationships among other aspects of intelligences. Conclusion and implications are also included.
