In digital image processing, classic wavelet algorithm often has difficulties in obtaining accurate wavelet coefficients by using continuous integral formula. Hence, clear and accurate edges of images cannot be detected in the classic wavelet algorithm. To deal with this problem, a new algorithm is proposed to detect image edges with sparse representation of interpolation wavelets.
