The earliest appearance of domesticated plant species and their origins on the western fringes of the Eurasian Steppe

This paper presents the results of the first archaeobotanical investigation of Neolithic-Chalcolitich-period sites in eastern Ukraine and southwest Russia. The goal of this research is to understand the timeline of the earliest appearance and possible geographical origins of domesticated plants species in the region of study. IZVLE∞EK -∞lanek predstavlja rezultate prve arheobotani≠ne raziskave neolitskih in eneolitskih najdi∏≠ v vzhodni Ukrajini in jugozahodni Rusiji. Namen raziskave je razumeti ≠asovnico pojavljanja prvih domesticiranih rastlin in njihov geografski izvor. Raziskava temelji na pridobivanju in analizi makrobotani≠nih ostankov ter analizi odtisov rastlin v lon≠enini. V ≠lanku predstavljamo tri mo∫ne koridorje, po katerih so lahko prihajali vplivi zgodnjega poljedelstva, in sicer iz podro≠ja Balkana, Kavkaza in Evrazijske stepe.
