more » ... ional per spective of bilingualism cognizant of concurrent inter active forces which act to define the bilingual ex perience. Moreover, there is a specific attempt to consider the educational character (including -the eval uation of instructional paradigms) of bilingual educa tion endeavors in this country. Lastly, specific cur ricular implications for early childhood are addressed and related to empirical information presently available.
