In this study, operative management of metacarpus and metatarsus fractures using transarticulary intramedullar pin application is su~jected. According to the results of clinical and radiological observations in 3 cases metacarpus, in 2 cases metatarsus were fractured totally 5 dogs ıvere involved. In 4 cases all of the metacarpus or metatarsus shaft were closed fractltred in the other case (case no: 5) open fracture was in the proximal capital of Mt ll. In Mt. III and IV there was a
more » ... e was a subperiostalfracture at the same level. In Mt. V there was a smail free bone fractured at the same level. In case no. 5 Mt. Il; and in the other cases all the bones were fixated with intramedullary pins. Postoperatively; fore and hind legs were bandaged with supported PVC for 3 weeks, intramedullary pins were taken in 35-50 th days and functional recovery was peı/omed.
