This paper's aim is to analyse the correlation between land change pattern and its topography with Urban Heat Islands (UHI) in Kaliurang Street and surrounding area. Secondly, the effects of daily commuting activities from rural or sub urban area towards urban area are well identified. Kaliurang Street is one of the major streets in Sleman that uniquely represented the transition between rural, suburban, and urban area.
