more » ... ense of classroom community among students in Education College, King Faisal University. Semi-experimental research design was used to reveal the effectiveness of employing asynchronous learning environments in the development of social presence and sense of classroom community. Forty undergraduate students from the College of Education were randomly selected and engaged in this research. Pre-post questionnaire were conducted for the data collection stage. Then, SPSS software package was conducted for analyzing the quantitative data collected and results were presented. Results showed that there were statistically significant difference at level (α= 0.05) for the post-questionnaire in identifying social presence and sense of classroom community through asynchronous learning environments for the experimental group. In the light of the research's results, researcher has recommended an increased focus on utilizing e-learning tools particularly in asynchronous environments such as discussion forums. They have a potential effect that increase interaction and motivation among students. Therefore, they enhance the continuity of students' communications with each other and with their teacher regardless time and place limitations. This ultimately increase learners' interdependency.
