Zolmitriptan is widely used as Anti migraine agent. They are formulated as oral disintegrating tablets which show better patient acceptability and compliance with improved efficacy when compared with conventional dosage forms. From the various formulations it was concluded that the formulation F9, the reproducibility batch of F8 was finalized as the optimized formula. Formulation F9 showed satisfactory results with various physicochemical evaluation parameters like Hardness, Percentage weight loss, Disintegration time, Dissolution profile, Assay and Moisture content when compared with the marketed product. When subjected to accelerated stability studies the tablets were found to be stable.
