Radium-223 for the treatment of patients with castration-resistant prostate cancer with bone metastases

The development of resistance to endocrine therapy and the tumor progression in patients with prostate cancer are associated with an unfavourable prognosis. The article presents a review of clinical trials of efficacy and safety, as well as the experience in using radioisotope radium-223 chloride in clinical practice in patients with castration-resistant prostate cancer with bone metastases without visceral metastases.
