This paper describes development of a smart breakwater or river bank us 孟 ng honeycomb − like structure to be adaptive to change ofwater leve1 . A desig 睡ed cell is dofbrmed using a tensile test machine , and the resu } ts show that the honeycomb cell can dep】 oy up to double of is original height without plastic defbrmation and the defbrmation is reproducible .
