Two species of Syrrhopodon [S. japonicus (Besch.) Broth. and S. armatus Mitt.] were newly recorded from Jeju Island. S. japonicus was found on a rock covered with fine soil on the Che-oreum Volcano. This species is clearly distinguished from other species of the genus by its plants to 40 mm long, leaves bordered with several rows of short cells, and the margins at the leaf shoulders being regularly serrate.
