Abstract: Aim The objective of this study was to investigate solvent extracts of Sceletium tortuosum for their neuroprotective effect and further identify the constituents in the pharmacologically active solvent fractions. Methods Sceletium tortuosum material was extracted with petroleum ether and ethyl acetate respectively.
