TortricinaIt is not my purpose to enter upon the difficult field of this family. My acquaintance with the literature of the subject, and with the characters of the multitude of very unnatural genera into which it has been in modern times divided, is too limited to justify me in so doing; the more especially as Prof. Fernald is now working it up. But the two species mentioned below are sufficiently interesting to induce me to publish the following observation upon them.
