Perfluorocarbon emulsion has been studied as an oxygen carrier, due to its high oxygen content. In clinical trials, it has shown stability in delivering oxygen to the target region. The purpose of the present study was to increase the stability of the emulsion by coating its surface with calcium phosphate. A layer-by-layer method was employed to coat the flexible emulsion surface. Considering the ionic affinity of calcium and phosphate to the lecithin emulsion surface, the first layer ofdoi:10.4236/jbnb.2016.72007 fatcat:24cvk3irm5ebva3auovjnqlyz4
