his paper focuses on Schiller's theory of poetry. At the core of Schiller's reflection on the topic is the relationship between the individual character of artistic creation and the universal sig- nificance of the content. Creation consists in an ide- alizing process, that is to say, in a search for the es- sence of reality, whose subjective facet is the univer- salization of individual thoughts and feelings.
