Active magnetic bearing 〔 AMB ) requireg . muttiple displacement sensors . Separate sensors cause severai ploblems ; high sensor cost , installing space and non −collocation between the actuators and the sensors . To overcome these problenls , self − sensing technique has been proposed , In this paper, nonlinear characteristics of the differential transformer type displacement estlma 七 ion are anaiyzed . Then the compensation method is developed which is applied to the interna ユ PM type self .
