The electrolytic oxidation of potassium ferrocyanide to potassium ferricyanide has been investigated by several men, including Hayek,l Brochet and Petit,2 and G r~b e .~ The results obtained by these men, as reported in the literature] seem to be somewhat at variance. All of them used a cell with a diaphragm, the oxidation being effected in the anode chamber. In each case the electrolyte in the anode chamber was agitated with a mechanical stirrer. Brochet and Petit state that the oxidation ofdoi:10.1021/j150201a005 fatcat:exsfmnc4pvcr5imkqnhj64e2bm
