This study aimed at evaluating the perceptions of students about the role of counselling and unmet expectation ofundergraduate students. The study adopted a descriptive survey design. The participants (N=150) recruited from firstand second year students of Institute of Education in the University. Over 81% of students are aware of counsellingservices and affirm the relevance to academic achievement. However, 69% cannot affirm provision of roadshows toenhance awareness.
