The technology of automated driving has been making rapid strides in the automobile sector and is quickly moving toward becoming a reality. However, automated driving technology was first implemented in the railway field in the 1970s (mainly as a new type of transportation system), and its safety requirements were stipulated through the International Electrotechnical Commission.
