Alkali fluoroborophosphate glasses doped with praseodymium fluoride has been prepared and characterized by X-Ray diffraction, UV-Visible spectroscopy, differential scanning calorimetry, excited and emission spectra analysis. Judd-Ofelt theory has been applied to evaluate the optical parameters such as radiative transition probabilities, radiative lifetime, branching ratios etc. of praseodymium, Pr 3+ , ions.
