A Compact Low-loss Magic-T using Microstrip-Slotline Transitions
2007
IEEE MTT-S International Microwave Symposium Digest
The design of a compact low-loss magic-T is proposed. The planar magic-T incorporates the compact microstrip-slotline tee junction and small microstrip-slotline transition area to reduce slotline radiation. The experimental results show that the magic-T produces broadband in-phase and out-of-phase power combinerldivider responses, has an average in-band insertion loss of 0.3 dB and small in-band phase and amplitude imbalance of less than + 1.6" and ir 0.3 dB, respectively.
