In the preparation of housing plans, it is important to conduct a typological analysis since this document comparing spatial arrangements of these housing agency can serve as support for a better project progress (Koury, Bonduki and Manoel, 2003) . more » ... logical preferences of future residents of a housing project promoted by the Grupo de Mulheres Unidos Venceremos in Passo Fundo / RS. The work was developed from a questionnaire, through a semi -structured interview using the technique of Stated Preference (PD), issues related to the neighborhood, residence and housing typologies. 206 families were interviewed candidates to inhabit the new housing subdivision whose plan will be implemented. The systematization adopted was to present respondents flash cards representing detached houses, terraced houses and differentiated pattern among the options respondents should mention for each image one of three options: bad, good and very good. The results show a preference for standardized housing plan for the houses; whereas there was a significant difference between the assessment on households with different pattern. Regarding the preference for terraced houses, a significant failure by the families. These results are important to ensure the success of the architectural plan, based on the wishes of the families.
