In 1915 I reported1 six instances of destruction of the tendon of the long head of the biceps. This destruction occurred between the region of the humeral tuberosities and the supraglenoid tubercle of the scapula. In five of these cases, the destruction of the tendon was complete and was accompanied by destructive changes in the capsule of the shoulder joint, on the acromion and the humeral tuberosities, in the glenoid cavity, on the head of the humerus, in the acromioclavicular joint, and even
