This study shows that enhancement of soil fertility along with the yield of chickpea due to nodulation by the Rhizobium is possible to some extent. Data on plant height (cm) at maturity, primary branches/plant, days to flower, pods/plant, pod dry weight/plant (g), seeds/pod, seed dry weight/pod (g), 50 seeds weight (g), nodules/plant, fresh weight of nodules/plant and dry weight of nodules/plant were considered to assess the effect of nodulation in chickpea. Soils treated with Rhizobium always

Campus soil showed the highest value for organic matter (%) and N content but Cholonbil soil exhibited the highest value for number of seeds per pod. All the parameters for growth analysis yielded greater values for treated soils compared to that of the control. mvivsk: GB cix ¶YwUi gva¨ ‡g †'Lv †M ‡Q †h, †Qvjv ‡Z ivB ‡Rvweqv ‡gi bwWD ‡jkb NwU ‡q gvwUi De© iZv e" w×i cvkvcvwk †Qvjvi Drcv'b e" w× m¤¢ e| †Qvjvi Dci bwWD ‡jk ‡bi cÖ fve cwigv ‡ci Rb¨ cỸ© Zv cÖ vß Dw™¢ ‡'i D"PZv ( †m.wg.), MvQ cÖ wZ cÖ v_wgK kvLv, dz j avi ‡Yi mgqKvj, MvQ cÖ wZ dj, MvQ cÖ wZ ﮋ ex ‡Ri IRb (MÖ vg), 50wU ex ‡Ri IRb (MÖ vg), MvQ cÖ wZ bwWDj, MvQ cÖ wZ ZvRv bwWD ‡ji IRb (MÖ vg) Ges MvQ cÖ wZ ﮋ bwWD ‡ji IRb (MÖ vg) Gi gvb we ‡ePbv Kiv n ‡q ‡Q| ivB ‡Rvweqvg wb ‡ewkZ gvwU me©vB bvB ‡Uª v ‡R ‡bi nvi Ges ˆRe c'v ‡_© i AvwaK¨ cÖk© b K ‡i| K¨v¤úv ‡mi gvwU ‡Z ˆRe c'v_© Ges bvB ‡Uª v ‡R ‡bi kZKiv nv ‡ii AvwaK¨ cÖwk© Z nq, wKš' Pjbwe ‡ji gvwUi † ¶ ‡Î dj cÖ wZ exR msL¨v AwaKfv ‡e cÖwk© Z n ‡q ‡Q| e" w×RwbZ mKj cwigvcK¸ ‡jvi gvb wbqwš¿ Z gvwUi Zz jbvq wb ‡ewkZ gvwU ‡Z AwaKgvÎvq cÖwk© Z n ‡q ‡Q|
