Distributed Real-time embedded (DRE) systems are relied on in a wide range of mission and safety critical applications such as avionics, flight control, industrial automation, automotive electronics, process control, and medical devices. This talk will characterize the key challenges confronting DOC middleware researchers and developers and then describe a case study of it's successful deployment for mission critical large-scale military applications.
