: QTL analysis for resistance to leaf blast was carried out using a recombinant inbred lines derived from the cross between an indica rice variety , Mi 且 yang 23 and a / aponica variety , Akihikari . Based on the resul 【 s of seedling test for resistance in green house, nursery test for resistance in upland field and segregation data of RFLP markers , a total of four QTLs were detected on chromosomes 1 ( two QTLs) , 3and 4. more » ... 一 MA ∬a and gPrO − MA l b tentatively . On chromosome 2 and 3, these QTLs were named as qPYO − MA 2a and qPYO − MA 3 a , respectively . All QTLs indicated the resistance to blast , when the genotype of QTL was Milyang 231Milyang 23 h・m ・・ yg ・t・・ s・ince the QTL, qPYO 一 醐 2 ・ 。n ch ・ ・m ・s・m ・ 2 ・m ・ng them , indicated a very much function in compare with the other ones , it was presumed that the QTL was a majir gene which corresponded to the resistant gene, Pib .
