Synthesis of TiO2 nanoparticles by hydrolysis and peptization of titanium isopropoxide solution

Titanium dioxide nanoparticles have been prepared by hydrolysis of titanium isopropoxide. An aqueous solution with varied pH and peptizing the resultant suspension was used to prepare TiO 2 nanopowder with a narrow size distribution. The synthesized powder was examined by X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscope and transmission electron microscope. more » ... ed from the solution of pH = 2 had a fine particle size with spherical morphology. The anatase to rutile transformation occurred at the temperatures lower than 600 °C.
