For the so lu tion of the Pocklington integro-dif fer en tial equation, the in di rect bound ary el e ment method and march ing on-in time method are used. Further more, the so lu tion tech nique for the cal cu la tion of the ground ing sys tem tran sient voltage is pre sented. The nu mer i cal model for the cal cu la tion of the ground ing sys tem tran sients was ver i fied by com par ing it with onsite mea sure ment re sults.
