This work deals with Fractional Order Proportional-Integral-Derivative (FOPID) based controllers designing using Bio-inspired Artificial Bee Colony (ABC) algorithm. The operating principle of bio-inspired optimization techniques are originated from various biological systems. Thus, ABC algorithm works similar to working principle of bees.
