This talk illustrates the current status of the Sardinia Radio Telescope, focusing on the preliminary results of the early science stage, the refurbishmment of the Active Surface System and the activities being carried out to bring the facility to full operations. The SRT was conceived to fulfill a vast number of science cases, observing up to 116 GHz.
