Role of temperature and soil properties on the thermal interaction between energy piles
2021
This thesis examines the thermo-mechanical response of closely spaced energy piles for different operations, based on building energy demand, and different soil properties representing different site conditions. Regarding the structural performance of energy piles, It is found that daily intermittent operations would be more beneficial compared to conditions heating and cooling operaions. For the spacing considered in this study, no significant thermal interaction was observed for the energy
